Head Trip Brings a One-Stage Electronic Experiment to California

📅 2 ottobre 2026 ⏱ 2 min di lettura

California’s festival landscape is preparing for a new electronic music experiment. Head Trip will take over the Empire Polo Club in Indio on October 10 and 11, bringing some of the world’s most established electronic artists together under an unusually focused concept: two nights, one stage and no overlapping performances.

Goldenvoice, the promoter behind Coachella, has built the event around a compact lineup that moves between large-scale dance music and club-rooted sounds. Calvin Harris and Swedish House Mafia sit at the top of the two respective nights, while Skrillex, FISHER, Chris Lake, Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Dom Dolla, KETTAMA, Seth Troxler, Ben Sterling and DJ Harvey expand the musical spectrum.

The most interesting part of Head Trip may be its rejection of the traditional multi-stage festival format. Instead of forcing audiences to move constantly between competing stages, the entire crowd follows the same musical timeline.

That approach could give DJs longer visibility and create something closer to a giant open-air club environment than a conventional electronic festival.

For underground electronic culture, the programming is also notable for placing artists such as Seth Troxler, Four Tet and DJ Harvey inside the same event as some of the biggest names in global EDM.

Head Trip therefore becomes another example of how the boundaries between festival culture, house, techno and mainstream electronic music continue to blur.

The event takes place at the same Indio venue associated worldwide with Coachella, but its identity is entirely focused on electronic music.

Head Trip is scheduled for October 10-11, 2026.
